My husband thinks this is a totally inappropriate use of sock wearing. He thinks I should be embarassed to leave the house like this, let alone travel to another country. This is my "travel outfit" I don't like going barefoot to the airport because you have to take your shoes off to go through security.
Is this passable or should I rethink my travel outfit?

oh, supastaaaah!! you should know better and YES!! Mr. Shenanigan should be embarassed, and embarassed for you!!! Gym sneakers with socks would be better (that's what I usually do, because every time I go away a little voice tells me I MIGHT go for a run or work out while I'm away.... and that little voice is usually wrong, but at least I have comfortable, socked footwear for the flight !!)
And... can you send me my login and password please???? I have stuff to post and can't access our site no more :(
Well, I disagree a bit. According to me travel wear is a free-for all. Whatever is most comfy. It's not the socks that offend me so much as the colour. At least a black sock would have been a bit better.
No, it doesn't look great, but yes, you can wear it ON A PLANE for chrissakes. I've seen people bet on planes in their pajamas! Travellng is a licence to wear whatever you want, apparently.
you should be embarrassed that looks totally lame...
it looks fine. good pick on the color coz it's not too flashy. i doubt anybody would be looking down at ur socks when u walk around
Sorry, your husband is right. Get yourself a new comfortable pair of shoes... if you want to look good AND be comfortable. Have you heard of a brand called KEENS? Comfort personified!! SueB
Keens are the best travel/ walking/ hiking/ rafting shoes EVER! I have had mine for a few years and my husband Spoke just got a pair--- I swear by the Keens! Good call, SueB!
they are the most ugliest things i have ever seen.. THROUGH OUT ALL OF YOUR THING THAT MAKE YOU SPOTABLE FROM A MILE... any dress shoes do NOT look good with jeans
totally ditch it please.
